Time to catch up on what i've seen and my thoughts on them.
Finish watching the episodes of Veronica Mars that Kari and I had DVRed. Love the series. Always keeps me guessing and great character development.
Saw Walk the Line. Loved it. I knew Cash had some struggles in his career. I never imaged that he went through anything like that though. Kinda tempted to go pick up one of his albums now.
Got done reading a book called "Michael Moore is a Big Fat Stupid White Man" . What a great book. I knew I didn't like the guy but this book really reinforced that gave me so many new reasons. It really appears that the guy has a problem telling the truth about anything.
Picked up a book to read for the plane ride to Portland. "Why my Wife Thinks I'm an Idiot: The Lifes and Times of a Sportscaster Dad" . It's written by Mike Greenberg who is apart of ESPNRadio's morning show of "Mike & Mike in the Morning". Great show. Very funny and great sports talk.
Thats about it for now. I'll try to post while in Portland if I can but no promises. I'll be there in 3 days for anyone that wants to try and see me.

Birthday
That's right. I just had one on Friday. Turned 26. Yeah I guess. Kari gave me the greatest gift ever. I got an IPOD from her. How freakin awesome is that. I LOVE HER! She also got me 2 of the books from the Ender's series. Got some good reading ahead of me. Kari's parent got me 2 pairs of dress pants and a dress shirt. Not to shabby at all.
Saw the movie The Family Stone this week. Not exactly what I thought it would be. Previews made it seem like a comedy but it was much more of a drama. Now don't get me wrong it has some very funny parts to it but it also deals with some huge issues. I enjoyed it. It also reinforced that fact that I think Rachel McAdams is a great actress and one of my favorites.
I'll be coming to Portland in about 8 days. Can't hardly believe its time for my sister to be graduating from MBC. Time sure flies. I can't to be there and would love to try to get together with as many of you as possible. Let me know.

yea for comebacks
Well if you haven't heard, the Smashing Pumpkins have gotten back together and are currently working on a new album. I am thrilled by the news and look forward to it. On other fronts, the Cubs are playing better then expected with the injuries they have been dealt so far.
Speaking of comebacks, I will be in Portland in about 17 days and am looking forward to the time off and catching with people.
Other band news- I do believe that Dream Theater is slowing chipping away at the top spot for my favorite band that MxPx has held for the longest of times. Now don't get me wrong I still love MxPx and throughly enjoy their music but I continue to be amazed and blown away by Dream Theater. Thanks to Eli and Adam for introducing me to them.
Work, well what can I really say about it. The transition of the company from Chase to Protective is proceding. Do I know for sure that I have a job still. Not really. Does that bother me some. Yes and no. While I do really want to know whats going to happen a part of me is ok with whatever happens will and that is up to God and not me. I personally think I'd really like to find a new position within Chase as I really enjoy the company and what they offer. But I guess I'll continue to play the waiting game for now.
Watched the Chronicles of Narina again the other night and again was amazed about how well the did the story instead of butchering it which they could have easily done. Lets hope the do the rest as well.
Kinda of a long post so I wrap it for now.

News
Sad news here if you want to read.
Something of a more positive note. Cubs even though they lost today are still playing quite well this season so far. Fantasy Baseball is proving to be enjoyable as ever. But the best is still to come this summer. And of course I'm refering to the WORLD CUP! Can it get any better. With all the games in Europe it is really going to mess up my sleeping schedule.
Until later.

NewsFlash
Well would you look at that. Cubs are 3-1. That is a great way to start the season off. More news for those of you that didn't know I'll be in Portland from May 16 thru May May 23. My sister will be graduating from MBC. I would love to get together with a lot of you but it will take some fun scheduling. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are interested in meeting up so that I can plan accordingly. That's all for now.

TV
American Idol has been good this year. I think that Chris is my favorite. I started to watch the show House and am enjoying it. There is always the good Law and Order SVU, CSI and Without a Trace. Other shows that have caught my eye this year include One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Desperate Housewives and Extreme Homemaker. By far though my favorite show is Grey's Anatomy. I can not get enough of that show. One of the best one's to come along in a while in my opinion.

Cubs
That's right everyone. The Cubs are 1-0. Isn't that great. (I had to brag about it while I can cuz Lord knows things can go downhill quickly.)
I'm Back
That's right folks. After a long absence I have returned. Hopefully this blog will return to the glory it once posessed but only time will tell.

Are you serious
I guess I've become public enemy number one. Yes Kari does live here with me cuz she spends more nights here than at her parents home. Does that mean we are commiting sexual sins, no. Am I walking on thin ice in that regard, maybe. But I know the consquences of results of actions and choices. Do I mind when a fellow brother comes along side and checks up on me and sees how my walk is, no. Do I even mind if you ask if I've stayed pure, no. But what I might not like is being treated differently or being judged on decisions I've made. I'll be the first to admit if I mess something up. And if I do mess something up then I won't need comdenation or rebuking (cuz quite honestly GOD is good enough at that) but I will need Brothers to stand beside me and help me.
I also think that it took guts to let you guys know that Kari spend A LOT of time here including nights instead of trying to hide it from you. But if you guys want to remain in the blue about things let me know. I'll be generic then and not the DRAPER you all are used to. But I don't think that is what any of you want. You are all my friends and I don't want that to change. I am still Draper and that won't change. I know the FATHER loves me and HE loves all of you too. So again I say that I have not commited sexual sins nor will I. I will wait until I'm married. Please feel free to respond. I would love open and honest dialogue.
I LOVE YOU KARI

Maybe just my Opinion
Lets just say you have a 17 acre college campus and ring of keys gets stolen that has keys for the entire campus. What do you think would be a reasonable amount of time to get all the keys n locks changed. I'm mean we are talking about the safety of the staff and students as well as the possibly of losing millions of dollars of equipment like computers and other things. I would think a week should be ample time for something like that. NOT 2 AND 1/2 MONTHS. Thank you Multnomah Bible College for taking your sweet ass time with getting them replaced and in the mean time lets have my dad's wallet and check book stolen yesterday out of his LOCKED office. What a bunch of frickin moron's.

RESUME
My name is John Kerry and I would like to report for duty. Here is my resume for your review. NAME: John F. Kerry RESIDENCE: 7 mansions, including Washington, DC, all worth multimillions. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Law Enforcement. I voted to cut every law enforcement, CIA and defense bill in my career as a US Senator. (Source: Congressional Record) I ordered Boston to remove a fire hydrant which I considered unsightly, in front of my mansion, thereby endangering my neighbors in the event of fire. (Source: Boston Globe) MILITARY: I used three minor injuries to get an early discharge from the military and served four months in Vietnam (as documented by the attending doctor). I then returned to the US, joined Jane Fonda in protesting the war, and insulted returning Vietnam vets, claiming that I and they committed atrocities and were baby killers. I threw my medals, ribbons, or something away in protest. Of course I did not report these atrocities when they happened nor did I try to stop them. (Source: My book; Vietnam Veterans Against the War: The New Soldier shows how I truly feel about the military. I deplore the military!) COLLEGE: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. (Source: Registrar @ Yale University and many national news media) Unlike my counterpart George Bush, I have no higher education and did not get admitted to Harvard nor graduate with an M.B.A PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I was Lietenant Governor under Michael Dukakis and I ran George McGovern's campaign. I ran for U.S. Congress and have been there ever since. I have no real world experience except that of a gigolo, by marrying rich women and running HJ Heinz vicariously through my wife Teresa. (Source: Every major news media) ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Difficult to name one! But, as a US Senator I set the record for the most liberal voting record, exceeding even Ted Kennedy. I have consistently failed to support our military and CIA by voting against budgets, thus gutting our country's ability ! to defend itself. Although I voted for the Iraq War, now I am against it and refuse to admit that I voted for it. I voted for every liberal piece of legislation.(Source: Congressional Record) I have no plan (well, I have a plan but it's a secret) to help this country but I intend to raise taxes significantly if I am elected. (Source: Every major news media, based on what he has promised.) My wealth so far exceeds that of my counterpart, George Bush, that he will never catch up. I make little charitable contributions and have never agreed to pay any voluntary excess taxes in Massachusetts, despite family wealth in excess of $700 million. (Source: Campaign Disclosure Act) I (we) own 28 manufacturing plants (Heinz) outside of the U.S. in places like Asia, Mexico and Europe.(Source: US News and World Report, Time) We can make more profit from the cheaper cost of labor in those Countries, although I like to blame George Bush for sending all of the jobs out of the US. I claim to be in favor of alternative energy sources, while! Ted Kennedy and I oppose windmills off Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard as it might spoil our view of the ocean as we cruise on our yachts. (Source: Boston Globe) RECORDS AND REFERENCES: My name is not associated with any significant program or bill or anything noteworthy in my 20+ years in Congress or as Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts. PERSONAL I ride a Serotta Bike.* My Gulfstream V Jet, I call The Flying Squirrel.* I call my $850,000 42-foot Hinckley twin diesel yacht! The "Scarmouche." * I am fascinated by rap and hip-hop and feel it reflects our real culture. (Source: Time) I own several "Large" SUVs including one parked at my Nantucket summer mansion, though I am against large polluting inefficient vehicles and blame George Bush for the energy problems. I also own an Audi but I told the auto workers union I only buy US made vehicles. (Source: Time ) PLEASE CONSIDER MY EXPERIENCE AND INTEGRITY WHEN VOTING IN 2004

An interesting title . . .
So I was at Borders the other day and I came across a most interesting title. It was so interesting that I had to stop and pick it up and start reading the book. It's title you might ask was "Jesus: Last of the Great Pharohs" . I read a little bit of it and it perked my interest. Not that I really believed it but I thought it was entertaining to say the least. I think I might pick it up sometime just to read the whole thing but I just couldn't convince myself to buy it then. I had my eyes set on something else.
My eyes were set on a new game. But contrary to what you are thinking it wasn't a game for my PS2, or for my computer. It was a new card game. I bought the card game Yu-Gi-Oh. Some of you might think that I'm crazy or childish but I don't care. I've been interested in it for awhile after watching the cartoon. So I broke down and bought 2 starter decks and some extra cards and look forward to getting to play it at some point. But enough for now, I've got a Cubs game to go to. I LOVE YOU KARI.

So What
That is what I have to say to all of you that think I'm a horrible speller. I seem to be doing alright with the way I speak and spell so why does it bother you so much.
But enough ranting for now. I've really started hard into looking for a new job. It's not that I don't like the one I've got but I really would like some better hours and also better pay. I'm not super picky about what I want for a job, I just gotta like it enough. My biggest reason for wanting to get something new is so that I can spend more time with Kari. Another reason would be all of the shows that I like watching at night that I don't get to see. Thirdly I have the chance to play basketball with Kari's oldest brother Eric in a church league and I think that would be really fun to do. So keep me in your prayers for something to turn up.
I've decided to start doing my quote game again for a couple of reasons. First it is fun. Second it gives me an idea of how many may actually read this and thirdly I know that you all missed it.
So the first one is, "You know the difference between me and you? I make this look good."
I LOVE YOU KARI.

News
Well I didn't get that other position at Bank One but I'm ok with that. I know that there's something out for me. It's just a matter of me finding that. I'm excited that I going to pick up Madden 2005 for my PS2. Apparently this is the last year of it. So it is even more a must get. I'll probably be playing it all weekend long since Kari will be out of town with her family. They go up to Greenlake, WI every year for Labor Day weekend with a group of their friends. I would have gone but I originally didn't think I could have had the time off. Turns out I could have but oh well. It gives me a chance to relax some. I get to pick up some overtime on Monday too. So I'm not arguing with that. No much else for now. I LOVE YOU KARI.

Better late then never
Well Jed and I promised each other that we would update our blogs this weekend. He made it and I was a day late. But oh well. Not much new over here. Just been working a lot of hours and trying to relax when I can. I only have to work at Bank One this week so that is nice and I get next Monday off as well so I'm happy about that. Kari and I are doing well. She's been working her nice shift that she got of monday thru friday 8:30 to 5. I wish I could say the same. But oh well. Maybe something will come along that will be better. I find out today about the interview I had a couple of weeks ago. Or I might find out tomorrow. I would be really happy to get it if I could. I get to go to a Cubs game here on September 12th. I'm looking forward to that. Oh and for you MBC people that might not know, Dr. Dan had cancer and it just had surgery to have it removed a couple of weeks ago. He seems to be doing find. Well until later. I LOVE KARI.

A New Band
I wanted to tell you all about a new group that I've gotten really into. They are called Story of the Year . I picked up their cd before I left for Michigan and I haven't been able to put it down since. They have a great sound and put a lot of effort into their music. It is one of the most enjoyable albums to listen too and I have yet to grow tired of it. The are kind of a punk/emo type band. They remind me of the band Thursday at times which is another group that I really like. Not much else to say at this time.
I LOVE YOU KARI.
